burnouts can be a vital part of workouts that are based on gaining muscle and size. It is a type of set that can be worked into your routine. it is typically the last set of a specific exercise done at half the heaviest weight you can perform. It is performed slowly, with great technique to make sure you are shocking the muscle targeted and giving a sudden flow of blood to the muscle. The set itself is done until you cannot physically do another rep.

you squat for 3 sets at 150lbs. On your 4th set you would cut that weight to 75lbs. Complete your squats until you (safely) cannot do any more reps.

Burnouts will leave you tired, sore, shaking and are very intense but they are a very good thing to incorporate into your workouts. They can be done with ultimately any muscle group
